Born in Novara on February 3, 1953, Chiara Boroli graduated from the Università Statale di Milano with a degree in Modern Literature.

After a long career within the De Agostini Group, she is currently Director of External Relations at De Agostini S.p.A. and a member of the Board of Directors of De Agostini S.p.A., De Agostini Editore S.p.A. and Utet S.p.A.
She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Mondadori and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Bellonci.

In 2008 Chiara Boroli, who has an extensive knowledge of the publishing world and is a huge fan of books and literature, acquired the majority shareholding in Agenzia Letteraria Internazionale, headquartered in Milan.

Since March 2007 she has been Secretary General of Fondazione De Agostini.
